Q-tips® Precision Tips™

Welcome back, lovlies!

Thanks to Influenster, I was sent two packs of Q-tips® Precision Tips™ to test. With pointed tips specifically designed for makeup touch-ups and cleaning tight spaces, new Q-tips® Precision Tips™ cotton swabs are must-have at home! And let me tell you, these little babies are just grand! Pointed swabs for precise jobs, NEW Precision Tips are perfectly multipurpose. Below, I have some "q-tips" (see what I did there? HA) to keep you looking and feeling gorgois.

Q-tips cotton swabs are a must-have for every medicine cabinet! Use them to/for:

Flawless hair removal - when using hair-removal wax, use a swab to gently apply the wax to ensure precise application.

Ensure a long-lasting fragrance - dip a cotton swab into your favorite perfume and apply on skin (such as on the neck or behind the ears).

A sweet smelling pick-me-up - moisten the cotton swab portion with calming essential oil, such as lavender or eucalyptus. Dab the oil on pressure points for a quick, soothing, pick-me-up.

Your makeup routine starts with beautiful skin! Create a shimmering glow, mask blemishes cleanly, and cleanly apply creams and foundation with Q-tips cotton swabs.

Dip cotton swabs under a little water to pick up any makeup particles that have fallen under your eyes or on your cheeks.

As a great way to highlight and brighten the cheekbones and eyes, apply a natural shade of shimmer powder using swabs to the upper brow area and apple of the cheekbone.

Cotton swabs are an excellent alternative to using a makeup brush. They provide precise makeup application, are great for softening bright colors, and are safe for delicate skin around the eyes.

Use cotton swabs to apply concealer or shimmer cream along the center of your nose for a longer, thinner look. To further enhance, apply taupe shadow to either side of the bridge of your nose.

To define cheeks, use a swab to to apply cream blush to hollows of cheeks and blend up and out into skin with clean fingers toward the hairline.

After tweezing eyebrows, fill in brows with an eye pencil or shadow. Wipe off any excess with a swab to create a softer look.

To help quickly heal blemishes, apply a small dollop of an acne spot treatment to the end of the cotton swab. It will help treat blemishes without adding additional oils from your fingers.

Q-tips Precision Tips are a must-have for many makeup artists - blending eye shadows, applying gently, and disposing easily.

Hide under eye circles by using one end of a swab to dab on three dots of concealer. Use the other end to blend for a seamless finish.

Control unruly brows by applying a small amount of Vaseline petroleum jelly using a cotton swab.

To instantly brighten your eyes, add a dab of a light shimmer to the inner corners with the tip of a swab.

Use the tip of a swab to shadow your eyelid along the outer-V. You'll increase the dimension of your look and create the illusion of a larger eye.

To achieve a quick smokey eye, use eyeliner to draw a thick line close to your lash line. Smudge upwards with a cotton swab to create a smokey effect.

Smooth eye shadow creases on the lids with a cotton swab by re-blending the shadow.

Use a cotton swab to help apply false lashes - apply a dab of lash glue to the tip, then keep the tip close to the lash line and use it to guide the application of the faux lash strip.

Perfect that celebrity pout using Q-tips Precision Tips cotton swabs.

Keep lip color from bleeding by using a swab to apply loose translucent powder along the outer edge of the lips.

To soften your lip liner look, make a dot dot dash pattern with lip liner and use a cotton swab to blend and soften.

For an easy, inexpensive, and fabulous nude lip gloss, apply foundation to your lips and then use a swab to put Vaseline petroleum jelly on top for the added shine.

Use a cotton swab to apply lip-gloss from a pot. Also, use a swab to grab every last bit of color from your lipstick tube(s).

Keep Q-tips Precision Tips on hand, and you'll have everyone thinking you're a nail salon regular!

Use a cotton swab to apply Shea butter or cuticle oil  on nail beds to prevent cuticle cracks.

Whiten stained nails by dipping a swab into a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Then swab over fingernails. Rinse after 3 minutes.

Give yourself an at-home mani/pedi with cotton swabs by lightly moistening the end with nail polish remover to instantly erase nail polish from your cuticles.

Crumple shades of an eye shadow into a nail polish color (or even a clear base/top coat). Mix with a swab and apply your new DIY color.

For Ombre nails: Apply a thick coat of a light color and let dry for a minute. Paint a darker hue on top, and when fully dry use a swab to gently rub acetone onto your nails. Fade until you see the lighter color.

Use a cotton swab to make colorful dots on home manicures, leopard print style.

Enhance your nails with a glitter accent. Apply glitter with adhesive using a cotton swab.

If there is one thing I love is getting more bang for my buck. And using Q-Tips Precision Tips is definitely worth the money (added plus: they are very inexpensive!). Use them if you don't want to spend an arm-and-a-leg on cosmetics tools. They are easily disposable, and don't take up much space in the medicine cabinet.

They are so multipurpose, I wasn't able to include every "q-tip" and "q-trick" (see? I did it again, ha ha) in this post. The possibilities are virtually endless! But check out these links if you want to learn more:
